OpenAI's May 13, 2024 post says it is starting to roll out GPT-4o and advanced tools (web answers, data analysis, photo chat, file uploads, GPTs) to Free users 'over the coming weeks', with a message limit after which ChatGPT switches to GPT-3.5. The pricing page lists Free as 'Access to our GPT-3.5 model' on May 1, 2024 and adds 'Limited access to GPT-4o' and limited data analysis, file uploads, vision, browsing and custom GPTs by May 15, 2024.
