Crunchyroll raises Mega Fan and Ultimate Fan monthly prices

Crunchyroll's official announcement of May 1, 2024 says that in the United States the Mega Fan tier "will increase to $11.99/month (from $9.99/month)" and the Ultimate Fan tier "will increase to $15.99/month (from $14.99/month)", while "The existing Fan tier will remain unchanged at $7.99/month." It calls this the platform's first pricing change since 2019. The announcement does not say when current members pay more; TheWrap reported on May 1, 2024 that the changes were effective that day for new subscribers and that current subscribers would not see the new price until their June billing cycle. An archived copy of the US Premium page from April 30, 2024 shows Fan $7.99/mo, Mega Fan $9.99/mo and Ultimate Fan $14.99/mo; the first archived copy with the new prices, from May 2, 2024, shows $7.99/mo, $11.99/mo and $15.99/mo. The same announcement cut the free trial from 14 to 7 days (separate record).
