People who used Gemini CLI or the Gemini Code Assist IDE extensions with a personal AI Pro, Ultra or free account have to move to Antigravity CLI, which Google says did not have every Gemini CLI feature at launch.

Google's Developers Blog (May 19, 2026): 'On June 18, 2026, Gemini CLI and Gemini Code Assist IDE extensions will stop serving requests for Google AI Pro and Ultra, as well as those using it free of charge using Gemini Code Assist for individuals', with Antigravity CLI as the replacement, though 'there won't be 1:1 feature parity right out of the gate'. Until May 17, 2026 the US Gemini plans page listed 'Gemini Code Assist and Gemini CLI' with 'Higher daily request limits' for AI Pro and 'Highest daily request limits' for AI Ultra. The Gemini CLI GitHub announcement on June 18, 2026: 'Starting today, Gemini CLI will stop serving requests for Google AI Pro, Google AI Ultra, and free tier individual accounts.' Code Assist Standard and Enterprise licenses and API keys are not affected.
