Perplexity's Research mode help article said on January 14, 2026 that Research is 'free for all users, with limited daily usage for non-subscribers and there's unlimited access for Pro subscribers.' By February 7, 2026 the plan comparison lists Research Queries as '1/month' for Free and 'Monthly limits (average use)' for Pro. Perplexity's Advanced Deep Research article (captured February 11, 2026) says 'Usage limits have been adjusted to allocate more computing power per session', and the Research article of February 16, 2026 says 'Free users get limited access to Research… Perplexity Pro subscribers get extended access.'
