What this means for you
Upgrading to Ultimate with prepaid Essential, Premium or EA Play time now gives a few more Ultimate days; PC Game Pass and Game Pass for Console time gives fewer.

Captured April 22, 2026: 'Xbox Game Pass Essential conversion percentage: 45% of your remaining time will convert to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate time'. Premium went from 55% to 65% and EA Play from 20% to 25%, while PC Game Pass went from 65% to 60% and Game Pass for Console from 55% to 50%. The new rates first appear in the April 22, 2026 capture, the day after Ultimate's price cut; no source gives the exact date.
