Existing subscribers: Members with automatic renewal on keep Game Pass for Console; if it lapses they lose it and can't resubscribe (Xbox Support).

What this means for you

The $10.99 console game library plan was no longer sold. New members could pick Core ($9.99/mo, 25+ games) or Ultimate ($19.99/mo) until Game Pass Standard ($14.99/mo) arrived on September 10, 2024. Current members lose it for good if it lapses.

Evidence

Xbox Support (July 9, 2024): 'Starting on July 10, 2024, Xbox Game Pass for Console will not be available for new members.' Members with automatic renewal on 'will be able to continue to enjoy your membership', but 'If at any time you turn off your automatic payment renewal and your membership lapses, you will no longer have access to Game Pass for Console'. The Xbox Store sold it for $10.99 a month on July 6, 2024; a July 10, 2024 capture shows no price or purchase option. Xbox's FAQ now says: 'Existing subscribers can continue to renew. If you cancel this subscription, you cannot resubscribe to it.'
