What this means for you
Letting someone who lives elsewhere use your Hulu account now breaks Hulu's terms, and Hulu says it can limit or end access if it finds you doing so.

The Hulu Subscriber Agreement dated October 24, 2022 (captured January 19, 2024) has no account-sharing section. The version 'Updated: January 25, 2024' (captured January 26) adds 'm. Account Sharing': 'Unless otherwise permitted by your Service Tier, you may not share your subscription outside of your household', defines Household as the devices 'associated with your primary personal residence', and says Hulu may analyze account use and 'limit or terminate access' if it finds a violation. Variety reported that the terms applied to new subscribers from January 25, 2024 and to existing subscribers from March 14.
