Sling's DVR help page, archived October 1, 2024, says DVR Plus adds up to 200 hours of storage and the ability to protect favorite recordings for $5/month, and that “Recordings never expire”. The archived copy from January 13, 2025 renames it Unlimited DVR: no storage limit for $5/month, but all recordings are stored for 9 months; the free 50 hours stay, free users can now lock recordings, and “All recordings, locked or not, expire after 9 months.” Sling's January 15, 2025 press release calls it an enhancement to DVR Plus, effective immediately. Dated on or before the first archived help page with the new terms.
