AMC Networks' press release of September 28, 2023 says it “has begun the rollout” of an ad-supported version of AMC+, first on its own platform and apps and on third-party platforms in the following weeks. It is priced at $4.99 per month with “a light ad load of less than five minutes per hour” and the same titles as the ad-free version, including Shudder, Sundance Now and IFC Films Unlimited. Ad-free plans stayed at $8.99 per month, or $83.88 for an annual subscription. An archived copy of amcplus.com from November 1, 2023 lists Monthly Ad-Free $8.99, Annual Ad-Free $83.88 billed annually and Monthly With Ads $4.99. Before the launch, ad-free plans were the only way to subscribe directly.
