How we count

Methodology

A row is a plan whose US price changed on a date in the service's price history, for new subscribers, with a sourced record behind it. Restricted plans (student plans, and plans with eligibility rules or that need another subscription) are tagged, and left out of the headline numbers, the “Who raised prices” chart and the biggest increases. Averages and the largest increases also use monthly plans only. Services we don't track aren't counted.
