US customers can now buy Audible titles with cash, not just credits, inside the iPhone and iPad app

Audible's Nov 15, 2023 announcement adds cash purchases to its iOS app for US customers, alongside credits.
It says registered non-members can also buy a title in the app without subscribing.
9to5Mac reported in 2021 that the iOS app let members buy titles with credits.

About Audible (November 15, 2023): "Audible rolled out enhanced purchasing options on Audible's app for iOS, offering the choice of cash transactions. Customers in the US will be able to effortlessly choose between using an Audible credit or cash for their purchase." It adds that members "can now apply their exclusive member discount across titles" and access daily deals and site-wide sales in the app, and that "Registered non-members will have the option to purchase a title without committing to a subscription." 9to5Mac (April 16, 2021, secondary) reported that iOS users could then buy titles in the app with credits, while buying extra credits or starting a membership still had to happen outside the app. The announcement gives no in-app prices.
