Essentials replaces Professional at a higher price, with unlimited signature requests

Dropbox's October 10, 2023 blog post introduced three plans, including Dropbox Essentials for self-employed professionals: 'The Dropbox Essentials plan is $22/month per user for monthly subscribers; $18/month per user for annual subscribers.' It added: 'These Dropbox plans are available to new customers starting today. If you’re already on one of our existing plans, you’ll automatically get the new experience in the coming weeks and months at the same price.' The US plans page on October 3, 2023 (yearly billing) listed Professional at $16.58 / month with '3 TB (3,000 GB)' and '3 free eSignatures per month'; the monthly view on October 5, 2023 showed Professional at $19.99 / month. By October 20, 2023 the plans page listed Essentials instead, at $18 / month billed yearly, '1 user', '3 TB of storage', 'Unlimited signature requests', 'Track file engagement', 'PDF editing' and 'Record, review, and edit video'; the monthly view on November 12, 2023 showed Essentials at $22 / month. Dropbox Help (What is Dropbox Essentials?): 'In addition to all of the great features of Dropbox Professional, the Essentials plan offers: Signature request templates: Create up to 5 eSignature templates. Unlimited signature requests.' News coverage says Essentials also replaced the Professional + eSign and Dropbox One plans (secondary; not recorded here).
