Mixed: the base plan costs $3/mo more for new and returning subscribers, and now includes AMC+ with ads. Philo's help page “Philo Core is coming soon”, archived May 30, 2024, says Philo Core “is our new $28 subscription plan available for all new and returning customers starting June 12th, 2024”, replacing the current base package, with ad-supported AMC+ content included and an ad-free AMC+ upgrade for an additional $4 per month. Existing customers can keep their current plan at its current price as long as the subscription stays active; upgrading is optional and can't be undone. Philo's blog post of May 29, 2024 (CEO Andrew McCollum) says the Core package price “will increase from $25 to $28 per month for new and returning subscribers” starting June 12th. Archived copies of philo.com describe Philo as “available for only $25 a month” on June 1, 2024 and “$28 a month” on July 1, 2024.
