STARZ's sign-up page (starz.com/us/en/buy) lists the monthly plan at $8.99 (“Start with a 7-day free trial and then a monthly recurring cost of $8.99/mo”) in an archived copy from July 24, 2023, and at $9.99 (“Recurring cost of $9.99/mo. Cancel anytime.”) in the next archived copy, August 4, 2023. Lionsgate had said in May 2023 it planned to raise the direct-to-consumer price to $10 a month (StreamTV Insider, May 26, 2023). TechCrunch (August 30, 2023) calls it Starz's first price increase since the service launched in 2016; TheWrap says it was implemented in June, but the sign-up page still showed $8.99 until at least July 24, 2023, so the date here is on or before the first archived copy with $9.99. The free trial dropped from the monthly plan at the same time is a separate record.
