In its Q4 / FY 2025 shareholder letter (February 26, 2026), Duolingo said it 'will move Video Call to be part of the Super Duolingo tier and experiment with changes to our top subscription tier, Duolingo Max'. The Q1 2026 letter (May 4, 2026) said 'we're starting to expand access to Video Call to Super subscribers.' The Q2 2026 letter (August 5, 2026) says 'most new Super Duolingo subscribers now have access to Video Call, and we expect to extend that access to existing Super subscribers later this year.' Until then Video Call was a Duolingo Max feature (press releases of September 24, 2024 and January 16, 2025). The date is the first official statement that most new Super subscribers have it; the rollout is gradual, and the Help Center's Max article (live check September 26, 2026) still describes Video Call as a Max feature. No price change was announced with it.
